Looking for some pre-contest diet advice from compeditors

Hey guy just trying to gather alot of information together for my first show in march.
I have most things sorted out already (or in progress) and my diet is one of the last things left.

I think typically most the guys i know eat exactly the same every single day except they might have a cheat meal once a week.
Im curious to know what kind of diets you guys follow. Im not very interested in keto but have been trying to research carb cycling, has anyone had experience with this method?

Just to clarify, i dont expect you to post your whole diet, just basically the macros per day in the 8 weeks or so leading up to the show and what method you use and how it worked for you. Thanks!

Carb cycling can be OK. I'm normally more of a fan of standard diets where the carbs are the same each day except on the cheat meal day or keto diets. Keto is tough and has less room for error than any diet. It's kind of funny though, most guys end up basically going keto by the end of their diet anyway whether they want to or not.

There's really no perfect answer to your question...it's too general. I have six base plans that I've used with my competitors over the years, six standard plans. Each one starts generally at the same level or style within that plan...it is adjusted to them but the larger adjustments start to occur a week or two into the diet once we see how they're reacting. Once you've done a show or two with someone this gets a lot easier.

BTW, very few guys can be ready for a show in 8wks...very, very few.

Thanks for the info. I plan to be around 9% before I start (currently sitting at about 11%) so I think I should have enough time.
