    Irresponsible Dog Owners

Let me first say I love animals so much but my dog is my child and I will protect him from anything.

So came home from a serious gym session and pull the car in front of my building run upstairs and grab my dog so I can get a quick walk in. I have a male german shepherd who has some behavioral issues with other dogs from being bite 2 times as a puppy so I try to avoid all dogs on the street . So I am carrying a couple of things walking him and have my back pack on. I go to cut through a park thats in front of my building and there were a bunch of people in there with their dogs of leash which they are not supposed to be doing btw. I notice a women see me coming and she runs to put her dog on the leash. I wait for her to do that and continue walking through. If I was not so tired any other day I would have just turned around and walked back around instead of walking through the park.

However most of the dogs are little and none seem threatening. Out of no where a pitbull charges my dog and goes to try and bite him so I kicked this thing in its face. I start yelling for the owner to put her dog on the leash but she just froze. The dog comes at my dog again so I start stomping the shit out of her dog until it runs away. She is yelling I am so sorry, and then this ****ing prick start getting in my face telling me I am a piece of shit for kicking the dog. He lets go off his dog and now his dog which is 20 pounds is trying to go after my dog and I am pushing the thing away with my foot. My dog is going nuts but if I let him go and he kills another dog being a german shepherd they will make me put him down.

So finally these people get their dogs on a leash and this guy is getting in my face telling me to get the f out of the park. I am like **** you no ones dog is biting my dog. I will do that shit again if I have too. So now he is about 2 feet in front of my face totally looking for a fight and is like gtfo out of here you piece of shit. Why kind of human being are you. Get the **** out of here before I give you a smack.

I just look at him and walk away. 2nd time I did this in 3 months. I see this guy on the street all the time and so does my gf when we walk our dog. How can I go toe to toe with this guy. God forbid he sees my girlfriend on the street while walking the dog and does something. I am not sure if I should defuse the situation and try and talk to him so that I dont have to worry about my gf walking the dog or let it escalate next time I see him.

I did put my dog away and went back up there but he was gone. I was not sure what I wanted to do but I was feeling indifferent.

In my opinion that guy is an ass...

You have the right to protect your family members from assault. Including your animals.

As far as what you should do? I believe that you did the right thing walking away. If he pulls a stunt like that again it must fall under some kind of intent to do bodily harm with an animal regardless of size.

I know what i would have done. In fact, i have experienced that EXACT situation. Lets just say, i put my dog back in the house and went back to see the douche bag, and never ever had a single problem with his mouth ever again. When i passed him in the street, he wouldn't even lift his head to acknowledge me.

I hope youre able to straighten this out. Nip it in the bud asap! Otherwise this flop dik will ALWAYS think youre under his thumb - i gar-an-tee you that.

    Good luck.

Shit I would have done the same exact thing. I have a pitbull and he's pretty big, but he's a big baby...he's my baby lol. If any dog came after him I would kick the shit out of it too. I got mad reading it. It's funny how steroids can change how you read something hahaha. But the best thing to do would be to talk to the guy if you do see him a lot. There's no need for constant drama or having to worry about something happening with your girl. But, if I were to try and solve it maturely and he acted like a dick, I'd probably flip.

Come to think of it, wait a while before you do say anything. Or just ignore the guy.

You did everything right. The german shepherd is God's holy warrior of dogs. A pit bull.. well.. i'm sorry but they are like the cancer of society. They are like when you turn on the news and some guy is getting arrested for the 20th time for breaking, thats the pit bull. I'm sorry if this offends anyone wait no i'm not they are a worthless breed for the most part. Yes if raised in a gentle home with caring family they can be a good breed. But its just not the case. People who buy these dogs I don't know the percentages maybe 25% are drug dealers and they need something that can stop another drug dealer kicking in their door. If they aren't drug dealers (i mean crack and shit not aas who gives a shit about aas) they may as well be they are trash from the ghetto or lower end of town looking for some rep with their bad ass dog because they listened to too many nwa albums as a kid. You know someone is going to come on here and say blah blah blah I have a pit bull blah blah blah. I'm probably not talking about you ass hole. Maybe you are that one guy the guy who lives in a nice house and keeps his pit bull on a leash and has raised it right.

Mickey thats exactly how I feel. This kid is def thinking I am under his finger. I am not going to lie. I was exhausted with my hands full and was worrying about my dog. If he decided to run away out of the park. I live in NYC he could get hit by a car and then I would end up in jail for murdering someone. I thought about my gf and what happens if he does something to her.

    You never ****ing know nowadays.

Not going to lie this coming after my post about having one made a me a little angry, but I know it wasn't towards me and a coincidence lol. You are right 100% though, my friend, except one thing, it isn't a breed of dog who is the cancer to the society, it's the type of people you spoke of. Those are the ones who deserve to be caged and euthanized, not the dog. But you're spot on with what you say, and I am that one guy you talk about at the end lol

I would find out what the pepper spray law is in your state. It some states its pretty strict but if she can get some this would stop the dog and the owner. She would want to keep a bottle of water in her purse in case any gets in her eyes or the german shepherds eyes.

I knew one of the other guys at the park as we chat here and there. He knows my dog has been bite so maybe he spoke to him. I understand his point of view. These people go up there every night and have their dogs off leash even after getting in trouble by the police. they just dont seem to care. He probably saw it that he was protecting his friends dog rather then me protecting my dog. I get it but at the same time these people should not have their dogs off leash if they are going to charge other dogs.

This will probably be taken the wrong way, but I don't care, a woman should especially not have a dog like that off the leash. They generally, not always but generally, can't control it when it gets out of control because she isn't the alpha in the family. Ya know? So the dumb broad is mostly at fault here. And yeah I think my dogs great, I would never let him off the leash in public or alone with kids because its still an animal, why risk it.

You know whats funny. I have a huge puffy winter jacket on. While I know some do not care of the size of people I easily out wieghed this guy by like 60 lbs.

If I had no jacket on and he saw the size of me I really thing this would have went differently

Rwy when I was a teenager my dog was bitten by a Chow we didn't know if she would live. After that I hate to say it but I would eye **** a dog in the eye sockets with my key between my fingers in my fist while his owner watches thats just the level of tolerance I have for aggressive dogs that bite. I would eye **** the dog all day and he could go around like Stevie Wonder blind as **** and learn to play the piano.

Its hard for me to talk about that. I mean my gf is 125 pounds and my dog is 95. She walks him once a day but I have worked really hard at getting him to behave and she has worked really hard at walking him and getting him to listen. However she knows never to walk past another dog. She always avoids my dog and others crossing paths. So this women should def not have her dog off leash.

The second time my dog got bite it was by a pittbull at the dog park. The owner just laughed it off and then I blacked out. Black Guy just out of jail for armed robbery. Everyone was having problems with him at the dog park. I beat the piss out of him and hurt the dog pretty bad. I never took my dog to a dog park after that.

Yeah I know some dogs behave very well when they're trained right but, in my opinion, under the circumstance of the moment there's only one person they will really listen to instinctively. I like your second story much better than the first by the way ahaha

I know my underlying suggestion is not going to be popular but...when someone clearly comes on to you and is swearing and aggressive, and you know they are looking to mix it up, it's on faster than a Chris Angel card trick. I dont wait for a guy in a stripped shirt to ring the bell. Im wading in deep like Chuck Liddell with overhand rights and lefts. Finish it fair and square, and dont break any bones.(police, court..ect) A mouse or two under the eye and fat lip will get the message through. Broken noses are always optional, but never intended.

Keep it clean and fair, and let him know he was in a donnybrook. I promise your troubles will be over.

Well he had 60 lbs on the dude. I had probably 50 lbs on my boss at one of my previous jobs. He did everything he could to make things personal. I have to admit I probably would have thought about dropping him in the parking lot if he was close to my size. Because he was so much smaller I saw him as a baby armed child, someone to be pampered and have his butt powdered. Maybe spoon him some gerber on lunch hour. It made it a lot easier to not break his jaw or send him to the ER. Would have been like beating an 80 year old man in arm wrestling nothing gained.
