    Help with my diet

I have been dieting and losing weight but I am just wanting to check and make sure I am on the right track. I just re-calculated my tdee and it is 2991 calories. My current diet has me eating 1920 calories a day when I hit it perfect. My macro goals are 240g protein, 150g carbs, and 36g fat. I have been having a hard time not exceeding my fat grams but am working my butt off on fixing that. My concern is that I may not be eating enough calories. Is this diet ok? Also, I have been using my fitness pal to keep track of my diet and I noticed that when I add my exercises to it that it automatically gives me more allowed calories per day. That does not seem right. Is it? Any help is appreciated and thank you in advance. Oh yeah, my stats are 43 years old, 6'1" and currently 231 pounds.

Alright, I just read gbrices are all caloric deficits created equal thread. I am in the mid 20's with body fat I would say and am trying to get it down obviously. I do 30 min of hiit fasted cardio in the morning and then 20 minutes of hard cardio in the evening along with weights. So, should I be eating closer to my maintenance then and depend on cardio? Or stay where I am until I get closer to my goals?

If you are loosing weight (Fat) on this diet and you feel healthy, my bet is to keep at it. Although the general rule of thumb for cutting is TDEE -500 kCals. If you don't feel overly tired, hungry or just unhealthy, that means your body is getting the extra fuel it needs from fat. If you are feeling those things, I would bump up the cals a bit.

You should listen to your body. Everyone differs...

    Hope it makes sense?
