You know blood work is the answer, she may need a higher dosage or a different med.

My mum has an under active thyroid and has recently started medication for it. It's pretty easily treatable but they're careful about getting the dosage right and are taking blood every two weeks ( or there abouts). I say either change doctor or wait for your doctor but don't try to self medicate a hormonal problem.

Drs notoriously under dose thyroid medication. If I were you I would try talking to the doc first, but they will prob refuse to increase the dose. If that happens then get bloodwork done and see where her levels are at on her prescribed medication, if its still low then I would just self medicate higher.
