marcus300, question for you and perhaps everyone else.

Marcus at your size, how many calories roughly do you bulk on, I think I read somewhere you don't count but if you had to take a guess? If you were putting on mass along with your anabolic dosages how many calories would you throw down in a day? Im getting a little annoyed, im on test/deca about 6-7weeks in, put on a few kg but not much coz last few weeks ive been hardly eating, or sticking to it, may make it thru mon-thursday then fri/sat/sun get lazy and just not eat. or barely eat anything. and im trying to pack on BIG size.

what abou the rest of you lads, how many calories you putting down when chucking on mass?

That's because you don't know what your doing and live off gear all the time and at those cals you should be a monster but infact you look 160lbs.

I see a lot of diets what are so ridged on here is fuks me off because diets cant be so ridged, the reason why so many are given advice like this is because they read out of these stupid books and listen to the insane YouTube so called diets/bodybuilding experts who look like 150lbs wet through. Ive stated so many times that one of the worse mistake guys do is cut to many calories and go on these stupid new so called new cutting diets which in the end robs you of your precious muscle tissue, yes I know all these studies showing different of opinions on these so called diets but us bodybuilding are different than normal men. Cutting should be done slowly and cals shouldn't even be touch for the first weeks IMHO. Muscle is precious to me and there isn't a chance I will waste it away by not feeding my body when it needs feeding, there are ways and means to cut bf while preserving tissue.

I use to count calories but ive been doing that long I don't have to be so ridged, again that fuking word ridged. Nothing regarding bulking or cutting is ridged or static, your body adapts to change and you have to adapt with it to keep getting results whether that's bulking or cutting.

My maintenance is around 3700 but I don't count it I just know what 3700 cals looks like and I go off the mirror and how I look at the time. Shawn Ray never counted a calorie in his life he went off the mirror some guys don't have to some guy need to its down to the individual and how he wants to work with his body. My game as always been the size game, I want to be big ripped and turn head simple as that so every lbs I put on I want to try my best to keep it so stupid calories restriction diets are insane for me because you do become ripped but have you ever seen anyone of these guys really big and ripped, I mean really big and ripped? nope.

Some days I will have 4000+ cals other days I will have 3000+, it all depends on what I am doing and how I feel. I mainly carb cycle all the time its something I love doing when bulking or cutting and it works by adding tissue and cutting body fat, I work with Carb cycling to achieve anything I want.

When I bulk I eat depending on my training and energy output, I will normal add around 500-600 cals and after a few days I will recalculate this and up the cals to suit my new body weight. I adjust all the time, I don't stop adjusting and I don't add further bf because I control that by other means. I add cals and up them all the time as my body changes so while I am going through a cycle I will adjust every couple of days and I keep gaining in size, this suits my training style and lifestyle. When I was younger and lighter I would eat throughout the night and force feed many times on cycle, I would also stretch my stomach to make sure it can consume these large amounts of cals. Nothing is static every adapts and you have to go with the flow with how your body builds and grows tissue but one thing is for sure, never burn your bf at the cost of your muscle tissue, muscle is to precious to just toss away and all you do is go around in circles growing bigger and cutting and going back down in size and in the end your the same fuking size. I see it all the time on here from many people in these vicious circle.

I am a bit different than most on here regarding diets, I don't give out advice from a book I am reading or some give advice from some idiot off you tube, bulking and cutting don't work like that we are all different and our body change and adapt to everything we throw at it so we have to move with it to either build or cut. I have had passed client who all ive done is speak to them about how to build muscle, burn body fat, how to train and design cycles and they have completed change their whole bodies just by simply talking to them how to use what they got and work with it.

Don't be so ridged, move and adapt with your body if your not gaining increase your cals and look see what happens in a few days and change things again to suit how you look and feel.

Ehhhh if you say so boss man. 160? at LEAST 170... lol. I'm pretty damn strong and don't train to be a bodybuilder. I've always trained to be strong, that's what mattered. You yourself admit people are different. I require more food than you. My metabolism is high, so I have to eat a lot. And instead of just accepting that and staying tiny, I force feed. You can continue to attack me all the time if that's your thing, but you'd think being cordial with each other is the best thing. I don't "live on gear". Although I blast and cruise, I take adequate time off and get more bloodwork done than most on here. Not sure what your problem with me is, and always has been. Guess since mick is gone, you just needed a new target?

What on earth are you talking about, ive never had a problem with you ive always given my opinion on everything i see fit and I cant even remember when the last time I quoted you or responded to you so take your insecure target and continue attacking you remark back up your arse because ive never corresponded with you for weeks probably months. Also blast and cruising is being on cycle all the time lmfao, which explain you have no idea what your doing and sorry if you think I am attacking that's not my intention I was explaining that being on 5100 cals looking like you do its obvious you have no idea what your doing, if you think different that's fine.

And please don't carry on talking trash and ruin this thread if you want to say something say it to me in pm and keep this thread on track please

Besides being "strong", do you do anything else? Sports? Running? Athlete? 5100cals seems like a lot at that weight.

I'm around 225 at 10%. Not 170. I play golf on the weekends but other than that, no real other activity. Always had to eat more to grow.

Just answering him humorously. I was 145-150lb 3 yrs ago. You can see some videos in the powerlifting section from the last year or so. I have gained 85lbs of lean muscle in 3yrs... Seems I know a little of what I'm doing. Deadlifted 700lbs at 198.

I started here. That's me in my avi.

OP I can bulk on about 3500 give or take. I have never sat down and counted every individual macro I take in down to the gram, to me, its a waste of time and im just not going to do it. If you have been trying to gain weight for a while then you should honestly know what your body is going to do when and respond to when you feed it more. IF you have too, see how many cals you are taking in now and then go from there, increase by 500 a day until you see some results.

I might it seems like you have no real desire to get huge otherwise you wouldn't say you didn't "feel" like eating. If its not in your heart you will not gain an ounce of muscle. Get your damn head right man. Best of Luck. cc

Its all about learning about your body and how it responds and adapting your food intake to suit your goals,

I always say keep it as simple as you can. ^^^^ That's simple. If you read all these threads the linear thought is we are all different and we need to eat high calories to gain. There are a few ideal rules of that , but they are detailed differently for most everyone.

Our goals change when we are young and as we grow mentally and physically. As we grow we see that we may not be able to be as big as he/she and maybe not as continually defined and vascular as the next and so we settle in and focus on doing what is best for our body.

This forum gives us the experience of so many with the education, learned readings and formal education views so we can by trial and error chose what works best for ourselves.

So on this thread we see that diet, diet , and diet are an essential key to what either a bodybuilder or power lifer needs to focus on outside the gym. However there is no one way. Now lets be cool guys ...crazy mike

I was thinking the same thing. I think some peoples calculators are broke. If your on gear, eating 4000+ cals you will be gaining or somethings wrong. Ive only been able to get to 4000+ cals one cycle in my life, that was with a 1400+ dirty meal ed. If these guys are living normal lives how do they fit these meals in? On top of that how are they getting 5000+ cals ed in 5-6 meals?

I don't follow calories. I cook what looks to be enough food for me and I eat. I eat until I'm full.....

I try to get a solid 3 large meals...... With smaller ones in between. I really don't drink shakes anymore..... Sticking to whole foods. A protein shake would be for pwo or possibly before bed.

The other day I had a kid ask me if I ate 8000 calories...... I lost it lol.
