ID:	15035234 years old. 6'3"...weight in picture is 214.5. A cpl weeks ago i had a dexascan done. Was 216 and it showed 8.1% bf. Think lbm was 194ish...ive been as high as 275 and have been cutting since early august. Currently eating around 2500-2700 cals. My legsare my weakness. Due to laziness/genetics...my questions are:
1.Will cutting approximately 10lbs more make much of a difference in my appearance as far as my abs and cut look?

2.Also at this point ive done no direct ab work. I follow more of a pwrlifter routine (still benching over 400) i have a squat day. Chest day. Shoulder day. Back day. And an arms only day. Will adding direct ab work at this point help with abs

    3. At this point ive also done no cardio. Any benefits at adding it at this point

I have no plans to compete. Started my cut with intentions to trim down for summer. Wish i had b4 pics at 275lbs but i dont. Ill later add some pics when i was in tge 250 range

    Also any critiques welcome

I have heard from some that a dexascan is not accurate for measuring BF%. The basis of this argument comes from the large difference in measurements compared to a bodpod result.

I say this since you have not been doing cardio, and your caloric deficit appears to be low if you are eating 2700 cals/day.

getting to 8.1% BF for most, is very difficult. if in fact, a bodpod measurement does also support your 8.1% result from the dexascan, then I am very impressed with your results.

For most, 8.1% BF would produce SIGNIFICANT striation in abs. So I'm not sure why you still need improvement, especially when you have so many other areas to improve ("legs are weakness")

I'll let others advise, since I am still scratching my head on this one

I was writing my post, left it open for a bit, then came back and finished. during that time bw posted the pic, and yes, looking pretty good.

I've only heard the one complaint about a variance between the dixa and a bodpod. So who knows?

If you're not going to compete than why on earth do you need to be leaner than you are now? Maintain that conditioning and put on lbm.

Thats where i need help. I dont want to lose abs before summers over.. Going over maintenance to gain lbm scares me as far as gaining too much weight...im also not exactly positive where my maintenance is..when i get ready to try an pack on some lbm should i just do a reverse dieting type thing and see where i need to be. Appreciate th input and any suggestionsare appreciated

I would only slightly increase calories, and attempt to maintain your current condition. I mean you could start doing a few other tricks in order to recomp, but I wouldn't go into a bulk yet based on your goals.

And yeah I see crazy things come from dexa scans, with pictures etc, and people claiming amazing unrealistic results, but the pictures don't match up. No clue if yours is accurate, but a little direct ab work can help, but it isn't really needed. Front squats hammer my core, but you could also add in some planks, even a set or two after a session can have a slight impact, I wouldn't do extensive ab work, the time investment rarely yields much more over doing core moves like squats.

Exactly. You can increase carbs just add a little cardio to keep bf where your happy. Increase carbs slightly and start off with a low amount of cardio. Work your way up with both to achieve desired results.
