Hmm.... Can u guys see pics?
Definitely lowish testosterone numbers. I'd feel like shit at those levels too (I'm assuming that you're symptomatic?). Check out the "finding a TRT doc" sticky for a list of things to have measured on your follow up labs, as these labs aren't all that detailed.
Ideally, you and your doctor will be able to rule out some of the causes for your less-than-optimal testosterone values. It might be something correctable and you can avoid TRT. Or you could just be another one of us with no real diagnosis besides crappy T values.
Yes feel like crap big time. I have a place from a good friend. My workouts are bad anymore. Work is a struggle and I don't feel like doing anything. Only way I can work out is 2 scoops of C4 pre workout. I'll have the TRT results tomorrow. 2nd blood test.Originally Posted by Chauffeur
Anyone else tell me if these are low enough to start TRT? My primary suggested it. I'm kinda lost. Libido is low but once me and wife get going it's fine. It's just I have no urge. Thanks in advance for input and help.
I am guessing since you only fasted 4 hours that you didn't get tested in the morning.
What time did you get tested?
Noon. The test I took Monday was 8hrs and in the AM. I should have results tomorrow.Originally Posted by The Deadlifting Dog
You need more thorough BW to include a full thyroid panel, cortisol, prolactin as these items can/will suppress testosterone production. So can pathologies, trauma, some medications, etc.
Take a look in the Finding A Doc sticky at the top of this forum for an example. Make an informed decision based on complete BW and a proper diagnosis. Your goal should be to find the root cause and fix it first. You don't want to jump on TRT when correcting something else may be all you need. That would suck.
Yep I have full blood results coming any day now. I take no meds at all. Well just started TB. But that's it. No cycles, good diet, drink light on weekends, work out 5 days a week. Libido, energy, mood are all in the tank. I am not making a fast decision at all. Just looking for true input from you guys and also from the new bloods I should have tomorrow. I'll post them as well as soon as I get them.Originally Posted by kelkel
Great. Thanks man. That's appreciated.Originally Posted by kelkel
TSH a tad high and T4 lower, which could be either thyroid or pituitary related.
LH is low and is what signals your testies to produce testosterone.
Free T in the lower third of range.
DHEA surprisingly good.
D level sucks. Begin supplementing D3, maybe 5K per day with a large meal. This over time will lower your shbg level thus allowing more free T.
I'm not a huge fan of Clomid therapy but you may consider that first for a period of time to see if you can maintain better levels when you come off. May be a good first step for you before testosterone therapy.
Thanks a lot. Smart man! I appreciate the feed back.
