Nolvadex effect on the body

Hi guys,

I researched a lot on this subject but I still do not have a full grasp on it yet. That's why I have decided to ask the more knowledgeable posters on this forum.

What is the effect of Nolvadex on the body?

It is a Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator.
It blocks Estrogen from making its effect on some receptors. I know that it effects the negative feedback on the hypothalamus, so that it registers there is no estrogen in the body, that's why it send out more and more hormones which lead to an improved testosterone production.

But what is the overall effect on the body compared to someone who does not take Nolva? Just high Test? There are tons who swear they have high Estrogen symptoms on Nolva and Clomid. Does it also have high Estrogen effects on the body? We also know that high and low E symptoms are very similar. Does it have a low E effect on the body? And there are even those who say Nolva has one type of effect: usually a high E one, erectile dysfunction, feeling bad all over, but Clomid has the high T effects: greatly amplified libido and sexual performance, even though they chemically do the same thing, so I have no idea how they can be different.

I am taking 20 mg of Nolva daily for about 2 weeks, (with one week prior consisting of 40 mg daily) for an existing Gyno but I do not feel different. Knowing that so many people have so many different results on it, I wanted to know first and foremost the biology behind it and how it does effect your body.

Any suggestions?

X2.. And Raloxifene is a percentage or two more effective based on studies. They just take time to work. Gyno didn't develop over night and it won't go away that quickly either.

That's not totally so.....nov and ralox are both effective Serms in combating gyno but as stated by Kel they take a while to work. I have used nov effectively for two gyno flare ups on cycle and it was a solid month before I started to feel a decrease on lump size and it was probably two months before there wasn't any trace of a lump.

Yeah, I took it for almost a month. The difference in my gyno is minimal but I will stick with it for another month the very least.

Some say that they are having low E or high E effects on Nolva because of the way that it blocks the receptors, or the way it increases Estrogen via Increasing Testosterone. So what is your opinion on it? What effects should you feel on Nolvadex? High T ones? High E? Low E?

No, it does not work like this. Most of the time the limitating factor in T production its in the testis. If the Leydig cells inside the testis are already at full capacity, the increase in LH will not represent an increase in testosterone production.
Of course we are all different, and there are many other variables. Taking nolva or other serm might in fact increase T production, but in a healthy individual this might be a less than 5% increase which will ussually not be noticed.
Actually nolva ussually lowers libido, by which reason I still havent investigated. But again we all slightly different.

From what I have seen on the internet, there are a lot of guys with low-lowish Test (300-500 ng/dl) who go to their doctors to fix them. A lot of them were put on Clomid first, which is very similar to Nolva and their testosterone raised to 700-1000 at the very least.

I saw threads with people who were put on Clomid and had 1300 Test levels. So from what I have seen, from other guys experiences their Test increase was quite dramatic, not just a few percentages... I know that the best way to test this would have been with a blood test.

My Nolva is finished, I will go and buy another month supply, my gyno has made a little progress so I need another month the very least to have some drastic changes. Still I do not feel too different... I have read about Nolva lowering libido but I would be very curious to understand why or how. As I have said, some are having a high libido from Clomid which should translate to Nolva too right? ( I have heard of Clomid even being used in the adult industry ).

So is anybody having different opinions on this? What should someone on Nolva feel? More like how does Nolva change your hormonal balance and how does it make you feel any different? High T effects? High E? Low E?

From your study they went from less than 300 to 570 per average. That is almost double. And I said that I saw some cases where there were 1300... In some threads...

Anyway, the effects? Anybody?
