Is using knee wraps when doing heavy leg days actually doing yourself a disservice?

To wrap your knees or not wrap your knees? Obviously they can assist your ability to lift heavier weight. The age old argument here, can using good wraps actually decrease the stability of the Knee over time in turn making the knee weaker as your train for years or do wraps provide the tool for you to lift heavier resistance and ultimately become bigger & stronger? Thanks for your input.

I would not use them until you get to a weight where you need them. Just like using a belt. Don't use additional support equipment until you need to.
