What can he need for high intensity sports? Like 0.5 - 1 gram protein per kg/ day on a body on around 35kg... That's nothing...
He need fuel in form of good carbs and fats, no protein shakes.
Eliminate fast sugar, read on good carb sources and put him on a training regime with a great coach.
My two cents are also to ALWAYS strive to eliminate as much fast sugar as possible for especially kids, we eat waaaay to much as it is and there are added sugars in fcking carrots today.
Sugar is a culprit in everything from health to daily performance.
Just read a new article that sugar has a huge impact on cardivascular issues, memory issues, daily performance, inflammation and joint issues.
