    Calling it quits

Been blasting and cruising for 4 years and have decided to call it quits. past 2 years have been tough and theirs been more cruising than blasting and i dropped nearly 30lbs and was just starting to bulk when i realized this is just not for me. my wish is to live a healthy lifestyle, eat clean, and get some good workouts in.

At this point I'm not sure how easy or possible recovery will be so i plan to lean out a little then go onto a trt dose and eventually just get a script.

when i started this journey i never thought i would want to end it but here i am 4 years later with someone i love and want to live a long healthy life with. let this be a lesson for the new guys.

The reality is you can’t do this forever. We are probably more self critical than most, hence why we put ourselves through hours in the gym, supplements, diets, steroids. But sometimes we don’t realize our value and forget to love ourselves the way we are. The right woman can change many things. I found a good one and have had similar realizations as you. Even if I don’t personally plan on blasting a ton of gear going forward, I still enjoy the conversations and the psychology behind all of this. I’ll be the one telling people to slow it down and be responsible. I still love lifting and I’ve done it for 20+ years… steroids is one small part of my experience. Steroids should never be at the forefront.

Wtf, did I start a trend

    Lol

    It’s definitely a beating, that’s for sure

But, I’m only looking to come off to get my wife knocked up again.

Staying on & maintaining on a low dose hasn’t been bad on me at all - so far. I keep all of my “gains” and my health seems to be quite intact.

But, these are all personal choices - I get it

When you say “this years bean tough” are you ref to AAS sides/consequences? If so I’d like to here about that. Ultimately when it comes down to it: you have to do what’s right for you at the time. Life is about the choices we make and the excitement of the journey whatever that might be for you. I wish yah the best and congrats.

    Same here.

In short, one might say, "I'm an addict (to the blast, to the cruise, to the gas)".

This BB thing takes a lot of time / effort and i think moving away from it on your own can be a great thing. There are definitely missed opportunities associated with the hobby.

Congrats on the new love & the decision. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how much you will recover when you restart your TRT, even if it’s 20 years from now. Good luck with your new beginning!

I shall begin my 18th blast this summer, been on TRT for 10 years now. I'm 43 and plan to age muscularly. I didn't blast at all last year due to life's inconveniences, but my goal is to live a physically fit life as long as I can and that will include exogenous hormones. Google "Dr Life". He's like 85 and all jacked out due to exogenous hormones. I hope that's me. I want to stay active for as long as I can on planet Earth and to me that means steroids.

"Your hormones don't decrease because you get old.....you get old because your hormones decrease"...Dr Life

Same. I didn't start gear (always reasonable dosages) until I was older (late 40's, other than a bit in my 30's), Still hit PR's and will never will stop pushing it, ever.
It's a hobby and a lifestyle and a sanity check. Train for longevity, take care of the body. Family first.

Good luck with the loved one and your new direction!

I just came back with abnormal blood work & I was feeling rough going into it -

Other boards they aren't as easy on folk as we are on here - but, it's true - I'm def paying for my last decade of not so wise decisions - I ran a ton of gear, a ton of other things & beat myself up pretty bad

So, coming off a half a decade ago sure sounds great right about now

I’m sure it’s mostly stuff you can get back on track. My Egfr was not that great last time. Could be the years of high blood pressure, some of which I wasn’t on meds. Anyway, we can only do better moving forward, can’t change the past.
