ok I know this might be a shot in the dark but I was just interested and thought Id ask anyway
how do muscles gain strength from lifting?
I know that muscles get bigger from lifting cause you tear the muscle and then usually protein and rest repair it and its bigger, but where does strength factor in? I was thinking maybe its the same way when the muscles tear and are replaced but what about power lifters where they are rediculously strong for their size?
can anyone explain this to me what measures your strength or maybe an article or something?
