Ultimatly you want to do one push day and then one pull day, ie:Chest and then back, you wouldnt want to do chest and then shoulder because your triceps wont be at full potential to push the max amount of weight.

Thats what I used to do , it works great, throw a couple extra days off in here n there and your good to go.
