    Question The Truth On Ab's?

Ive heard everybodys opinion on abs, train them heavy, train them light, train them everyday, train them like every other muscle. I was wondering if anyone really knows how to train abs?

If you want a six pack, then diet and cardio are the best way to train them.

agree diet and cardio are most imporant, lower u bodyfat and theyll come out better

as for ab workouts i personaly think twice a week is enough

abs do recover faster then almost all muscle groups in our bodys, so they can be trained twice a week

i personaly think twice is enough, it gives good stimulation and enough rest

as for ab workouts, good ab development comes from variety of exercises targeting all your abs

    e.g my workout looks like
    superset of
    40 crunches
    40 lying leg raises
    40 double crunches
    30 crunches with legs raised
    30 decline crunches

the key to abs is usually variety, not volume, u can add weight to ur abs but generally if you train them really hard you shouldnt have to

ive recently started doing 'hanging pikes' for my abs. and have to say by far most difficult thing ive tried

You can do a thousand setups a day and still unable to see abs if your bf is to high. Its like trying to look through a muddy window, clean the mud away first!!

Genetics also plays a role here. Everyone has abs,yes even the fat chick that works at mcdonalds. Some peoples abs stick out very prominetly ,while others simply look sunk in.

your ab workout should work them to, since obliques are part of your abdominals
