the truth on cardio and muscle loss?

been doing alot of research on the threads and have found mixed opinions on what everyone thinks of cardio ( best time, worst time, how long, how often, etc....)

I know that protein is a huge amino acid and building block of muscle tissue and that carbs and fat are strictly energy sources

why is it, however, that if you do cardio first thing in the AM on an empty stomach ( or protein shake with no carbs) that you will eventaully burn muscle when carbs are just energy sources?

i know that glycogen is found deep inside muslce tissue and is used to fuel the body for energy. So is it because that when gylcogen levels are so low (no energy) that the body must burn (eat) through the muscle to get whats left at the same time is burning fat?

how do you prevent your body from not burning hard earned muscle and burning as much fat as possible???

    please someone enlighten me...thanks guys!!!

By my count you have 3 threads started on your diet and now 3 threads started all on cardio. There might be a bit of difference but there is a ton of overlap on your threads. If you take the time to read the replies I think you will find your questions are being answered over and over and over again.
