Question Does the time of day matter for lift sessions?

With school and work my schedule is kind of erratic. I'm on a 4-day split, and I workout Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri. Monday and Friday's I usually can't get into the gym any earlier than 7PM, and on Tuesdays and Thursday's I'll go in anytime from 10AM-3PM (Tue and Thur I'm pretty flexible). I would assume it's best to go earlier in the day but how much of a difference does it make? I have a higher percent body fat, so I usually do interval cardio afterwards for about 20 mins. Danka.

Overall it really doesn't make any difference what time of the day you lift. Im sure there's studies saying a certain time is better but dont sweat it, just make sure to get the gym time in. I prefer lifting early because I wanna make sure to get my PWO shake then a PPWO meal with pro/carb. some people workout so late that they get in their PWO shake but then have to have a pro/fat mean because they are heading to bed.

It doesn't matter what time you lift as long as you get a good meal in before your workout.

Physiologically speaking, your peak time is sometime later in the afternoon. As far as injury concerns, the morning is maybe a little more risky for disc injury since the discs are hydrated the most upon rising.

Like others said its doesnt really matter all that much, just as long as you get your workout in sometime.

Yep just workout and eat right. I lift at 630 in the morning. but i wake up at 6 to eat a banana and some whey.

Since everyone is kinda debating i just wanted to add that testosterone is at the highest when you wake up in the morning.(you ever wonder why you get morning wood, well thats part of the reason haha)
