Dumbell vs Barbell presses
the time I work out at the gym, there's normally not anyone there to spot me (I don't like benching without a spotter) How much time am I wasting by trying to replace that with dumbell presses? Or can I get (close) the same gains by variations on the dumbbell press?
thanks

i actually prefer dumbell over barbell. at least for now. you'll notice you can't do as much weight, but that's because...well, i don't know why, but someone else will explain that. it's also a different motion b/c you're having to stabilize 2 separate weights instead of just 1 connected with a straight bar.
don't be scared to ask a trainer or even an older man to spot you when you do 135 on bench :D

i'm just playin, no harm intended. also, change up your workouts every so often just to get a different motion in. like do dumbbells instead of barbells, or vice versa.
