Were you were thinking of giving yourself a shot of cortizone? If so, be careful.

use deca instead...cortisone will dry your joints out and it only masks the injury.yes you wont feel the pain but you could damage it more.not recomended bro.

Cortizone would not be the smartest thing to give yourself.

cortisone
im a pitcher had three shoulder surgeries and a back surgery.
A total of 8 cortisone shots.
Dude its almost impossible to give yourself a "true" coritisone shot. For it to work you have to get inside the joint,in the ball and head shoulder capsule.
if you dont do it this way your taking one every week then every other day because it just numbs it for wahtever activity you are going to do.
Yeah you wont feel a thing if its done right, but also your going to weaken the tendons and ligaments and then there is the possibilty of blowing out. Believe me you dont want to blow out, reconstructve surgery, no external rotation.
If you can afford to go tto the doc tell him that you had a sublaxation, and it went out of place and you had to pop it back in,and cant get rid of the pain. At first hes gonna want to give you a script of celebrex, vioxx or some type of anti-inflammatory. Tell him you took some of your buddies Vioxx and that didnt touich the pain. He might start with just a numbing cortisone to nsee if that works. They are more apt to give you a cortisone shot if you straight up ask for one. If your work/job is also on the line because of the injury.
Let me know though because I have found some very good cortisone cream that works pretty good-its prescription-although of you tell the doc about the place he might have something the same.
pm me if you have any questions.

I had a personal experience with cortisone but you have to get a shot every 3 months...I have a bad shoulder and did some research on cortisone therapy...went to my doc and he suggested I should get a shot of "Depo-Medrol"...Did wonders within 48 hours but the pain returned 2 months later....I didn't wanna continue the use of cortisone since I had an upcoming cycle planned with Deca ....just got off deca like 1.5 weeks ago and the fvcken pain is coming back.....Im still in limbo as to the permanent rectification of this stupid pain since it really fvcks me up when I do shoulders and chest........So watever you do....GOOD LUCK!!!!
