Cool Proviron vs. Test E for libido?

    Hey all,

I was recently put on Test E by my endo to help with libido. Weirdly enough, I don't really seem to respond to the Test in terms of libido, even when we increased the dose to pretty high levels (we did a small trial at 600 mg per week, and still nothing). Estrogen is on point, and I do take Finasteride for hair loss.

I have heard great things about Proviron for libido. Could anyone comment on it and it's potency vs testosterone in terms of libido? Also, if I am seeing no results from testosterone, is it likely I would even see results with proviron? (I'm just thinking in terms of how proviron is so much more androgenic than test).

    Thanks!

I don't think proviron is approved for use in the USA, so if you are from the states he can't prescribe it to you. I find the anabolic steroids most closely related to DHT do the best job elevating my libido. Proviron is one. As is masteron . Masteron is approved for use in the USA for breast cancer, but for libido that would be off label use and opens your doctor up to all kinds of trouble.

swm is correct. You cannot fill a script for proviron in the U.S. Curious why your doc would resort to Test for libido issues and not try other avenues, or did he? 600 mg per week is not a small dose. It's a cycle. Doesn't seem to be a good first step IMHO. Was your T initially low and if so, what level? Are you on TRT also? You said your E is on point. What level is it at and was it run with a sensitive assay before or during this program?

Off topic. Your calf separation looks awesome. Assuming that is your calf in the avatar?

Thanks for the responses so far.

The 600 mg was simply a small test to see if I had partial androgen receptor insensitivity. And yes, test was low (mid 200s) and I exhibited MANY traits of low testosterone , that is why he put me on it.

I do understand that proviron cannot be perscribed in the US, I was just looking at my options (such as masteron ).

Kelkel, do you know of any other libido enhancers? I'm pretty wary about using cabergoline long term due to some of the side effects that the new long term studies are coming out with.

Swm, could you talk about the potency of proviron v. test for libido purposes? I'm curious.

Still curious why your low though. Have you had thyroid panels run? Hypothyroid can cause low T. You seriously should find a doc who can find the root of the problem. What is your LH/FSH levels? Prolactin level? If Lh/FSH in the tank you need an MRI to rule in/out pituitary issues. I'm the proud owner of a pituitary tumor actually so I've learned a lot in that realm.

Cialis for daily use is a wonderful item for many reasons beyond the obvious. It doesn't enhance libido but it does impact blood flow which in-turn helps with erection quality. Also a great nitric oxide booster, good for BP and for BPH (google Cialis and BPH.) Search up threads here on PT-141 (peptides) which acts as an actual aphrodisiac. Check the site sponsor as they have it.

While I definitely love cialis for the effects on erections, it doesn't really adress the root of my problem, which is having no sexual desire.

I also love PT-141, but unfortunately it can't be used more than once or twice a week. This doesn't really work for me as I am looking for a more "around the clock" solution.

Yes swm it is and thanks. Pic taken Wednesday. Not bad for an old fart.

Boba you said it yourself. "It doesn't really address the root of my problem." This is what your doctor has to investigate!
