Possible to gain muscle while cutting?
Obviously many people use steroids while cutting. I always hear, however, that its virtually impossible to cut BF and build muscle at the same time. What is the main purpose of using an anabolic steroid while cutting then? Purely for the purpose of fighting catabolism?
I guess I just want YOUR reasons for using a steroid while cutting, Im sure different people have different reasons, thanks

Bro my heads been spinnin with all the different answers i been getting, but to me the larger ur muscles get, the faster there show once u start droping ur bf. And as u said it helps prevent large muscle loss.......

You can gain muscle and lose BF while on using gear, this is possible. Your thinking of people who wanna gain 20lbs and lose BF% at the same time, now this pretty much impossible.
Say you weigh 200lbs at 20% BF, and you wanna cut down BF% but remain at 200lbs. All this means is, say you cut to 13% 200lbs, thats a 14lb fat loss and 14lb muscle gain. This is possible with the use of AAS, proper diet, and training. I hate it when some people come here and say they went from 200lbs 20% to 220lbs 11%, thats impossible thats a 16lb fat loss and 36lb muscle gain.
There was some guy a few weeks ago who swears he lost 36lbs of fat and gained 56lbs of muscle 4 weeks into his winny only cycle??!! Anyone know where it is?! I cant find itLast edited by Consistency; 03-02-2005 at 04:09 PM.

If you want to gain muscle and lose fat at same time check out ruggedmag.com (maximum muscularity by Tim Skwiat and Eric Cressey) and johnberardi.com (massive eatting reloaded). By reading and learning from john berardi, I have went from 200lb @ 15% bf to 217 @ 10 bf in about 9 weeks. If you are using gear, you might want to go more extreme with the cheater's diet (by joal marion, on both sites mentioned earlier)
Untill really understanding insulin manipulation and nutrition, I made snail like gains. Now, looking in the mirror I see progress almost daily.
