I tend to like 11/2" reason being is like my X girlfriend used to tell me, the glutes have alot of "fatty tissue" (that is why doctors prefer to give shots there), besides being very massy. I read on another board where one very educated bro, stated that even if you inject into the side glute you can not get as much into the muscle as you may want. I say why take a chance. I have never had any problems with 11/2" that way I am making sure I am getting to the muscle. Now if you have low body fat, then yes, I can see how a 1" pin would possibly do what you need to do. come on man, 11/2" isn't that much of a difference as far as length are you scared of a longer needle or something?

i would go with 1.5.... you can use 1, depending on how much fat you have on your glutes.... 1.5 is better, you get it deep in the muscle.

thanks guys, the 1.5 doesnt really bother me, its just that on the advice of a friend i ordered the 1 inch and (not that they were expensive or took a while to ship in) i was just wonderin if i really needed to reorder new ones...by the way, my bf isnt great...im 5'9" and weigh about 170, last time i checked my bf was i believe 15 or something around there....also this is my first cycle...
basically i am just wasting my gear with these 1" needles?

Your not wasting your gear, but I think 1.5 ensures your getting through all the fat. 1" will probably do you fine, youll just have to go almost all the way in (never completely all the way god for bid the needle breaks off).

I agree with Innervision. When you use a 1" pin you have to penetrate all the way to the hub of the needle, especially when injecting in the glute. Thats not a good practice to get into because sometimes it can be very difficult to hold the syringe steady in an awkward position like that. With a 1.5" er your ensuring that you ARE getting deep enough within the muscle without having to penetrate the needle all the way to the hub.
