    Injection Quads. Will I feel if I'm hitting the ITB (Iliotibial band)?

    Hej folks,

    started to inject into my quads. Looked up "Ryokans injection guide" and I use a spot near that "Thigh series 1" SpotInjections.com
    When it comes to the actual injecting, I'm not always sure if it's really the right spot. I'm concerned that I might hit the ITB.

    What would happen if I inject into my ITB (Iliotibial Band)? Will I feel it and if I'm hitting it, do I need to change the spot immediately?

    Help appreciated :-)

    The less you think about it the better you will be, aspirate and you'll be fine, I pin 6 mls into my leg a week, no issues.

    Yeah, I just wanted to know if there's someone who actually hit the ITB and if you feel the difference. I just don't want to "waste" my gear by injecting into a tendon than into the actual muscle.

    Very doubtful and even if you did you wont be wasting any gear, it's not like it will just sit there or leak out. it will be absorbed no matter where you inject it eventually.

    That's why I put it into "..." ;-)
    I think, the only real solution for me is to move a bit into the inside where I'm 100% sure to hit the vastus lateralis.

    In order to get into the muscle you need to go through the fascia, so when pinning quads you will always go through the itb... There is absolutely no problem with it, why you worried??

    Nothing special. No Pip or other kind of pain whatsoever. Just wondered if I'm doing it wrong and if so, I felt the need to correct it.
    I'm always injecting somewhere around that area;

    So many people complain about pain when Injecting into quads, so I thought, maybe I'm doing something wrong when it's so comfortable for me :-D

    The itb is part of the fascia lata, its very thin, so its easy to go through it. Unless you have a very fat leg even a subq needle will puncture it.

    I only have pip with test prop no matter where i pin it.

    Thank you so much man! Was hard to find much info about the IT Band, because google just spits out stuff about "runners knee" :-)
