Preliminary questions

I am 22 years old 5.5 160lbs. Ive been lifting since i was about 14 but started taking it very seriously at 19. Ive never done a steriod but ive come a long way, however i havent made much gains in the last year or so. Steriods are VERY popular here on long island and it really sucks watching my peers excel passed me.

I do jujitsu and muay thai and i planned on doing a cycle of anavar to help shed weight and add strength (and look good for the summer as a bonus) however after doing research ive realized what a bad idea that is.

I didnt want to use injectables but its obviously not avoidable. I would like to start a bulk cycle and put on some serious size either this winter or next winter. So im curious about a few things.
1. I have pretty good health insurance so bloodwork wont be an issue, but wont my doctor KNOW that im using steriods? Wouldnt a doctor be uneasy about this? After all, steriods are dangerous and illegal. I want to get bw done in the next week or so just to see where im at right now

I am doing my best to be sensible about this and i will be lurking the forums for next 6-18 months before i put anything into my body. Sorry for the long post just looking for the fundamentals! Thanks!

You're too young to be starting with AAS. Wait another 3+years to ensure your HPTA system if fully developed so you don't end up with a Penis that won't get errect. It's a risky game esp. if you're under 25.

Get your BW done via online(private md labs .com) one word... Unless your in MA/NY/NJ/RI/Maryland then your g2g... If your in the states... Google is your friend in these situations... Check it out

Some simply don't allow private labs to function without scripts. And yes, a doc would know if they're astute and check hormone levels. It's why you run BW between cycles if it's an issue.

Just because your friends are doing it really isn't a good reason.Do you want to have ED no libdo problems like they will? It just sucks killing yourself training and looking like a chump compared to half the gym crowd is juiced up. But yes you're right, you're right. I dont want any of those issues and the risk isnt worth it.

Btw i thought lee priest was replying to my post for a moment when i saw your avatar! Unless you're really him! :0
