Help ASAP think iv got an infection.
Did a shot last night (19hours ago) and Iv a red slightly swollen patch around where I injected into my belly. Its tender if I push on it.
Never had any problems before.
What do ye think???
Ok Iv just come back from my final exam in my finals and the red swollen patch is looking slightly larger than 3hours ago.
i think theres a little heat off it also but its hard to tell.
I was going to go out clubbing with my mates tonight but im scared now.
Dont want this getting out of hand.
Whats an infection feel like and how quick does it develope????
It was a little painful injecting (think I blunted needle).
Am I over reacting?

First of all...you're injecting HGH right? You said you injected into your stomach? Second of all, it sounds like an infection, is it warm to the touch? It's not a big deal as long as you take care of it, go see your doctor or go to the ER within the next 2 or 3 days, get some antibiotics...infection should be gone within a day or two, when running cycles, you should always have antibiotics on hand, infections are going to happen sooner or later, I am lucky, my friend works in a doctors office, and gives me the free trial meds.

You were injecting into your stomach ? What are you injecting HGH ? Anyways if its red, swollen and hot to the touch then you need to go to the doc asap

This was HCG , correct? Is this the first shot out of this batch? I'm always in favor of getting any potential infection looked at by a doc.

Yes HCG .
No it was the last of the batch. I had no problems before but its the first shot I did in 5 days. Problem is-its been in my fridge (in made up form for 50days).
I know its suppose to "not good" or something after a month but guesses Id be ok.
Should I not have a faver at this stage???

Again if the site is producing heat and the redness is spreading your going have to go to a dr. Will you live if you wait till tomorrow ? Probably. It honestly sounds like an infection to me and will need to be looked at by a professional.
-
is it swollen?
if it is and PAINFUL then 99% infection, you can solve it in 2 ways:
1- go to the Dr.
2- get some Amoxicillin suspension, many vet websites sell it with no Rx. shoot 2000mg intramuscular, and also get Amoxicillin pills 500 mgs and take 1 every 4-6 hours for 1 week.
I had MULTIPLE infections before (not too proud of that) so I know how to take care of that.
good luck

You'll know for sure if it's an infection by tomorrow, the redness will spread out alittle bit, like everyone else said, just get some antibiotics, and it'll go away. It's only dangerous if you do nothing about it, but you don't need to do it right this second, just get some meds in the next 2-3 days.

Take a pen and make a few marks around the edge of the red area and note the time. This will be the basis to tell you if it is growing and how fast. It dosent sound like anything to panic about. I would still go out with it but keep an eye on it. If in your opinion it is spreading fast, then go to an emergency room. It probably is a mild infection. Sometimes they will go away on their own but sometimes they need antibiotics. Either way, I would make an appointment to see your doc. You can always cancel if it clears up.

ummm have you taken your temperature? you most likely would be febrile within 24-48 hours of an infection. let us know.
-

whether it's infected or not, when doing multiple injections you should have antibiotics on hand, infections will happen sooner or later

any time you break the skin, there is a possibility of infection. absolutely agree.

that's why you monitor it adjust fire as the situation changes if it gets more aggressive you become more defencive; ie. anti bio,, doctor but like all in life must be done in steps and procedure....adapt and overcome

Havent been on in a while.
To update : the the sweeling and soreness left after a few days.
It had me worried. Was very tempted to go to a doctor but glad now I didnt.
Im always very carwful at pinning. It had to be sterile-Im thinking its cause I blunted needle.
Anyways all good now.
ps them few drinks did little to affect keeping my gains.
Im gaining during my PCT right now. Dont even think I shut down. Yes it was legit gear!

Hey bro, from what i was told...have a friend going through it as we speak, just watch it and as long as its red and warm it is still festering...you should really look out for red streaks running around it.. the red streaks will require antiB's and possibly cut and drain. The doc told my friend not to worry too much until you see streaks. He also said it should take care of itself if it is going to with a week to week and half...if not go see doc.

you used a blunt needle?...seriously?.....
do you realize how much trauma that can cause to the area?...
-
06-04-2008, 04:23 AM #40
I said I rekon I blunted the needle.
It was new and sterile but I poked it off the syringe cap by accident.
Also it was an insulin pin.
Dont know about trauma but it caused some drama!!!!
Anywasy as I said its gone. It went after about 3-4 days.
That is well over a week now.
