Sternoclavicular ligament sprain
I injured my SC joint (where the collar bone meets the sternum) about a year ago. Went to the doc and he diagnosed it as a Sternoclavicular Ligament Sprain. He said to stay off it for a couple weeks then when I get back in the gym stay away from exercises that cause it pain.
I followed the doc's orders and was happy to get back to the gym. To this day there is no pain, but I often experience popping and cracking at the SC joint especially when I do anything involving my traps. Will I always have these crepitations? If so will that do any harm to me in the future? Is it possible that I did not rest long enough and it cause the ligaments to "semi-heal"??
Most important question... does anyone have any rehab exercises to help strengthen the ligaments to prevent the popping? I have been doing scarecrows and shoulder dislocations, but anything else you can throw at me would be greatly appreciated!
