I see you guys are eating jasmine rice... Just a preference or is it actually more Beneficial than white rice?
Just a better quality than some of the other white rice crap out there. Also, brown rice seems to cause bloat in some people, and is a more complex carb than white rice. So, for bodybuilders, particularly soon after training, it gets used by the body more rapidly.Quote:

Rice cooker is the easiest way to go, but you don't need one. You can just cook it in a pot... Pretty easy, take the desired amount usually one or 2 cups, wash the rice if you feel the need to and then fill up the pot with about a fingertip of water above the rice. Heat on high until it boils without the cover on, when it comes to a boil simmer on low, put cover on and cook until the water is out, typically 10 to 12 minutes. Turn heat off fluff the rice, let it stand for a few minutes if you want and then go to town.Quote:

Cool.. Quick correction I just noticed is needed.. When beginning to cook, leave cover OFF, not on until it boils. Once it boils, then put the cover on as you turn the heat down to simmer.Quote:

Thai jasmine it is. Thanks for these tips. Might have to get a rice cooker to make sure done right.
