anyone else have problem buying clothes?
its annoying - I have an eye out always for cheap designer clothes but it is hard to find any to fit :( they just dont seem to have a lot of the stuff i look for with an 18.5 neck and size 50 suits :(
kiton, brioni, Armani, abboud, bijan, D&G, Behar, Loro Piana - you know, good stuff *sigh*
Not to bump up an old thread...but
Hey all, I don't mean to bump up an old thread but after a search and not finding anything, I wanted to let you all know about a website I found the other day while looking to get some new dress shirts for my new job.
http://www.landsend.com/
In my few years on this planet I have drastically changed my weight and I have always had trouble finding dress shirts and suits that fit (16 yrs old 6'3" 140 lbs, 20 yrs old 6'3" 290 lbs, 25 yrs old 6'3" 215 pounds) and this company after taking a short survey on your body style will custom make dress shirts for you ($49-$99 depending on material quality) that they guarantee will fit or you send it back and they try again. Its a pain in the ass time-wise the first time around, but after that they have all your measurements on file and the process speeds up a lot the next time around. I haven't tried it out yet, but I believe they can do suits too in separates not unlike Brooks Brothers.
Another thing I found this weekend is Nautica is now doing separates on some of their lines including their new super 130s line. If you know anything about materials, the higher the number in the thread counts, the better the feel/quality of the suit, for reference, even brands like Gucci, Armani, and Valentino typically only use super 110s/120s and I had one on when I went to the store and I can tell you the Nautica 130s felt a lot better and I felt a lot better when I was told I could buy a 48L jacket with a 34 waist pant (Typically 48L suits come with 42 waist pants)
Ok thats all, sorry for the "light" reading...
