    Physical

I am going for a physical at my regular doctor next week.
I have some doubts about my testosterone levels .I plan on asking for a test.
Does most insurance cover bloodwork for low Testosterone
And are doctors reluctant to call for such a test?

Most insurances would cover the test. How reluctant he/she will be depends on the doctor. Make sure to describe symptoms commonly associated with low testosterone such as lack of libido, energy, depression etc

    Thanks stifflersmom.
I will stress the fatuige and libido problems, those are my main issues, besides stubborn bodyfat that no amount of cardio can burn off.

I simply tell my doc what I WANT and he does it......they work for us....not the insurance....I have a good relationship with my doc and he treats me like a human....not all docs are like that though.....make sure you tell him you want your TEST TOTAL and TEST FREE done....along with all the other goodies....they should draw like 4-5 vials of blood from you for a full lipid panel, etc....

At 17% you should be able to work on your diet and get easily into the 12-14% rage without cardio in a matter of months..

Even at 37 it's possible you could have low T. Like said, make sure you specify about fatigue and low libido and energy. If your doctor doesnt want to do it just ask him/her to point you to a good endocrinologist.
