Experienced Lifter looking for an edge...any thoughts?

    Hey guys,
I'm looking for some ideas on how I can increase my gains, I seem to have hit a plateau. I have been lifting for about 11 years and haven't gained a pound in months... I have been changing up my diet and switched my workout to add bulk but nothing works. I have never used gear before and was wondering if there is a way to do it clean or is that my only option?

Well, that's not the diet breakdown I was looking for, but I can tell you just from looking at this that you don't know how to eat. Not trying to beat you up here, but I'm going to recommend that you post your exact diet in the nutri section. Let the pros critique it. Be very detailed, what time you ate, portions, etc... everything including water intake.

I don't have real stats, but I would say that from my experience with lifters/hard gainers is that over 90 % of them turn to AAS because they don't know how to eat. Your body stats show a GREAT platform for gaining naturally. Some will tell you to get on a Test only cycle, but I'm going to say get your diet fixed first, then consider a test only cycle.

Best of luck. Many people only dream of 8% BF, you're doing a lot better than most.

    Welcome to the board mate!
Agree with the other two. Go to the nutrition section and post your diet as follows
by meal with macros per meal
then total macros for the day
be sure to include your tdee so we can bench mark against it.

here's how to calculate your tdee
    http://forums.steroid.com/showthread...gy-Expenditure

since you are a hard gainer, must be if 6' and only 165 lbs after 11 years of lifting, would expect to see between 500 and 1000 calorie surplus above tdee

coupple other things you can read for hard gainers:

    http://forums.steroid.com/showthread...ight-READ-THIS!!!

    http://forums.steroid.com/showthread...nd-sample-diet...

and this can get you started if you know nothing about macros:
    http://forums.steroid.com/showthread...nutrient-Chart

once you post your diet in the nutrition section, there will be some responders that can give you a few ideas as to what you need to do to bulk up. Steroids aint always the answer!

    Good luck
    ---Roman

I'll post it soon, Just got home and heading out to work. Thank you for taking the time to answer guys, I really appreciate it. My problem with diet stems from my wallet. I haven't been able to afford it till now, I'm working two jobs now so hopefully everything will change. I have always been skinny with low BF and gaining weight has been an uphill struggle since I can remember.
I'll get back to you asap on my diet when I get off work. Thanks again!

It really isn't that expensive to eat right. Even if you need to eat alot to put on weight. Its making it taste exactly how you want that can become expensive. You may have to sacrafice some things and load up on others, and the food may not taste all that great. But if you've got to pick and choose in order to reach your goals. I eat 3 big meals, and 5 small meals a day. Plus protein after gym and weight gainer or Cassein before bed. I'm a skinny/hard gainer naturally. Once you stuff yourself for a few days, your stomach will stretch and you'll be able to eat alot more.

Dude! I'm 6'3 at 195. I don't eat enough to gain, you don't eat enough to gain. follow the very good advice above and take control of your diet first. awesome on the 8%!

At your age, you might be a TRT candidate. Go get bloodwork done.
