    Z-Track injections...

Ok, I am in the medical feild, and this is a very useful method of injecting, and I don't see it much used around here. So I thought I would do a write up on it.

    Why use Z-Track method?

The Z-Track method is used to help prevent leakage of a compound, out of the injection site, and out of the dermis layer of skin.

Why would we want to do that?

In the medical field some compounds can be very harsh, burn, and be extremely painful in the dermis, and epidermis. Also, for us, AAS is expensive, we do not want even a tenth of a cc/ml to come back out.

Ok, so how do I do it? Is it hard to do?

It is very easy, and just like a regular injection.

Ok, I am listening, explain it already.

The dermis and epidermis are not completely attached to muscle. Therefore by pulling on the skin, you can slide the dermis a few cm in any direction. With a clean hands, you will use your left hand to slide the skin over. Place your fingers on top of the injection site, and pull the skin over. Now the skin that was next to the injection site, will actually be on top of the injection site.

Now insert the needle, just like a regular injection, aspirate , and inject. Now when you remove the needle, and release the skin, the dermal layer will slide back to its original position. So the hole in the dermal layer will not line up with the hole in the muscle. Thereby sealing the compound inside the muscle and prevent leakage.

The following is an image, to help you visualize how this works.

This method is fairly effective, in preventing leakage into the dermis, or preventing leakage out of the body. If you have any questions, just let me know.

Yep, and there seems to be a leakage thread every week so, I figured I would take the time to write this up, instead of just telling people "Look up Z-track", all the time.

Haha I've been doing this just because I thought everyone did it this way!

Or atleast pull the skin tight with your thumb and pointer finger and jab in the tight skin!

    Good post

Unless someone injects you, it limits spot injections. I couldn't do this in lats or traps. Even delts might be tough. But it does work.
