    Sore injection sight

Yesterday I pined 2ml at once in my shoulder. It's the first time I've done 2ml at once and my injection sight is sore and a little swollen. I'm thinking this is nothing at all but I'm worried because my pins are on back order till Monday and I had to use a pin twice. My thought is that maybe its an infection! it isn't red at all so I'm think it's not infected hopefully..

nope..not from what you've described. remember to inject real slooow. and leave the pin in for a for about 10-20 seconds before you take it out. do not rub it.

Most of the time this is muscle damage that will go away after a 2 or 3 days. If not, then it's time to see a doc to check for an infection. If your hand is not very steady while injecting, it could cause small tears inside your muscle. The needle tip is like a blade, any movement is causing the muscle to be cut up inside. Muscles don;t like that and swell up with some discomfort. Put something warm on it to ease the discomfort.

Before i started my first course i carried out the normal research that i spose most people have and remember reading that you generally shouldn't go more than 1ml at a time in the delts is this true? Unless ofcourse unless your muscle there is big enough...?

Never thought needle could be like a knife inside muscle, now I know why sometimes pin goes good and other times not so good. Have to keep it still in there, nice. Always learning here

Bro, that's happened to me a few times, keep and eye on it as you are I'm sure, take the temp of the area as well if it's a lot warmer then the opposite shoulder and gets worse then you have an infection, take an asprin it will thin the blood and help with recovery(it works for me) and in the future go slower. I wouldn't be worried either way, worst case you need some antibiotics...the body is amazing brother if it thinks your in the middle of getting an infection it will force blood to the site hence that warm increased temp of injection site and kill it with-in a few days..also keep in mind you used a needle twice, that could be the culprit right there some people do it all the time and get away with it and me i do it once and my leg blows up like a soccer ball...keep me posted let me know how you make out....
