Coming to the end
Hi all,
I am coming to the end of my first cycle and have a few questions.
Having bought trentest 300 (10ml vial) and anavar 50 mg (120 tabs) , I decided to run the trentest only for the first 4 weeks at 1ml p/w to see how my body would react and make sure no bad sides before adding the var at 100 mg ed. All good so far and really enjoying the gains in size, strength and vascularity. My questions are as follows:-
1) as the half-life of test cyp is approx 8 days, am I able to continue taking var only for 2 weeks after cessation of the test, before I start PCT? (given that the half-life of var is only 8-9 hours)
N.B. PCT will be:-
Clonid 100/50/50/50
Nolvadex 40/40/20/20
2) I am getting depressed thinking about coming off cycle, how do you combat post cycle blues and keep motivated until next cycle starts, given that if time off = time on + PCT, I will have to wait 14 weeks before hitting the juice again?

I can't answer your first question, I'm not very knowledgeable on anavar so I'll let one of the vets help with that. For the post cycle blues:

This has fail all over it. Just stop. Do your pct.
You really should invest in knowledge before acting out on things. Don't do another cycle again until you do so. It's for your very best. Plunty of great reads on this site.
First cycles, AI use, pct, hcg use.

Hey Zevy,
It's too late to advise you on the cycle, so I'll answer your questions
1. I don't recommend you continue with var. You need to focus on recovery once your cycle is over. Drop the second week nolvadex dose to 20mg and extend your PCT with 2 additional weeks of Nolva.
2. Occupy yourself. You need to eat like a horse to maximize retention. Focus on training and sleep. Yes, you need to wait that long, preferably 16 weeks counting the 2 week wait in the mix.~ PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SOURCE CHECKS ~

Easy solution, don't come off and just blast and cruise. In all seriousness, if you're looking to gain and retain as much muscle as possible, you will never be able to do this as effectively as you would by blasting and cruising or by not following the "time on = time off" guideline many people have adopted. It is pretty much guaranteed that you will always feel some sort of post cycle blues after you come off the juice.

I don't follow the time on = time off principle, and I fully accept the possible negative side effects of that choice. You have to make your own decisions.
On another note, research more before you start a second cycle, that cycle is not very good, especially for a first timer.

It is good that he is concerned about his health, even if his cycle was all over the place. Just wait the 16 weeks, eat a ton, up the intensity in the gym, and before you know it, it will be time to hop on again.

OK so I f***ed up my 1st cycle, a common occurrence by novice users from what I've read on this and other forums. Lesson learned (if it's the hard way is yet to be discovered). Will research more and follow guidelines for next cycle. Thanks for all your input, both positive and negative, after all, we only learn by taking a tumble now and again

Its not a bad cycle per se, just recommended for advanced users. You would have gained plenty off of a simple test only cycle without the risk of adding 2 other compounds you aren't familiar with. Don't feel bad, most people don't do everything correctly their first cycle.

Ah OK, thanks AlphaMike. Feel a bit stupid for not following protocol but am very pleased with the results of this cycle, just need to keep hold of the gains with PCT, good diet and training whilst recovering
