Get in touch with western union to find out their policy.

Did, just strange. They called me to let me know they're issuing a refund out of the blue. But that's their policy, if the money isn't picked up after a year they issue a refund. But it was for a payment a year ago on a package that either got seized or lost b/c nothing came of it. Just makes me nervous. Thoughts?

Thanks for your reply. I'm actually not interested in reordering, but it concerns me since the package never came (it was ordered a year ago). Got seized probably but never received a letter. Or if it is lost...that'd be weird.

Anyway, think I have anything to be worried about? I doubt they would TELL me this if they were trying to sting me over a personal order.

They usually send a check takes 30 to 90 days.

I would think you would have followed up on this a year ago.

About not receiving the pack? Didn't care enough to risk another international order - one bad experience made me call it quits. I mean a year later do I realistically have to worry?

As for WU and their call I independently verified this IS their policy - that if the receiver doesn't pickup money after a year they'll refund - just seems so out of the blue it had me worried.

Just go back to W/U with the MTCN number, $ amount, and and ID and you can just get your money back. Not a big deal. I've done it in the past.

Don't know any of those details! But if I am interpreting your words properly you seem to suggest their call/policy isn't out of the ordinary and I need not worry? Like I mentioned one agent confirmed this is just their standard policy.

I wouldn't stress. They know you sent so to follow up with them to get your money back shouldn't de a big deal.
