LOG: pre-contest bulk cycle, bringing legs up par with MGF (and other goodies)

i'm doing a show in april 8th 2007. but i def need to bring my legs up as they lag big time :( so i'm gonna start an MGF experiment.

some info on me:

age: 32
height: 183cm. (6.0)
weight: 111kg (244lbs)
bf%: around 10%

last contest was may 2004 (gonna include a pic so you all can see how horrible my legs are). contest weight back then was 94.5kg (208lbs)

on hgh non-stop since last year at varying doses between 2-6iu. bumped it up to 8iu 5/2 since 3 weeks, using hygetropin wich seem to be great.

started insulin also 3 weeks ago at around 10-15iu pwo 5/2. gonna continue the insulin untill diet starts wich wil me half januari.

using t4 at 100mcg ed.

aas: am year round on 250mg test-e. started my bulking cycle 5 days ago.

500mg sustanon eod
100mg adrol ed (6 weeks)
500mg EQ ew (frontloaded at 1250mg)
1mg arimidex eod

b12 @ 1000mcg ed wich should keep my appetite up in conjunction with the EQ.

MGF/LR3

ok now for the experiment,

as said legs need work, and alot. its not that i did'nt give them attention but they are just lagging. they got strenght but no size. so here is my plan:

gonna work them out twice a week, tuesday and friday. pwo i'm gonna shoot 125mcg MGF and 50mcg LR3 in each quad. so that makes a total of 500mcg MGf and 200mcg LR3 a week. i've got 5 vials in my fridge so its gonna be a 10 week experiment (right up to my diet). gonna switch to shooting in the outer head of my quad on one day and in the tear drop the other day.

i will take weekly pics and measurements to see if there is any progress.

any comments are welcome,

Bro, your legs would look a world better if you would have posed differently on a different color background (lord strike me blind yellow.)

Very interesting Rodge, I was going to PM you about this when I read your other thread. Im in the same boat with legs, I was thinking of doing them 2x ew with Igf only on those days injected into the quads. I will be looking foward to how this goes!!!

Well Rodge, dont have any comment on this one.
We talked it true, and i think is just fine as it is now.

But you know me, there is one thing.....
Its your leg training.
I dont believe in overtraining, but are you sure you want to train them twice a week?
Why not splitting it up?
Like monday quads and thursday hams?

This way you can really train your ass off!!
And maybe a different way of training....dropsets or whatever.

Have done also a cycle for my legs started at 100mcg mgf and 100mcg igf-1 lr3
nothing happend bud when i bumbt up the dose from the mgf to 200mcg per leg i noticed a big diffrense.

Hey Rodge, nice cycle. I will be competing in April too. My main aim was to put some size on my quads which I have achieved already. My cycle was very similar apart from the mgf. Whats youe leg training look like, I hope plenty of HEAVY squatting is involved!!!

the 100mcg in each leg did'nt produce any gains? i can bump it up to 200mcg a side but the my cycle will be reduced to 6 weeks instead of 10 weeks.

any input is welcome...gonna start tomorow(so hurry :D )

started with squats. warmed up and the mostly i did was start at 100kg for 6 reps, bumping the weight up by 10kg each set untill i reached around 160-180kg and do 3 sets with that. if i had anything left after that some sets leg presses with a weight that allows me to do 4 sets of 10-15 reps. hams after that.

last 2 weeks i did squats 10 sets of 6 reps with 140kg with exactly 1 minute rest inbetween. no more leg presses afterwards just hams/calves.

planning on doing this for the tuesday, trying to get the weight up each week for all 10 sets.

then for the friday planning on doing my deadlifts first, hams second. then leg presses untill my breakfast comes up :wg:

i can't jump right into extreme heavy weights with squats as my knees will hurt like a b!tch. i need the long warm up or keep the weight a bit lower for more sets as i'm doing now. same is for heavy extensions, if i do them my knees will hurt for a damn long time.

what shall i do? stick with the original plan or up the dose to 400 or even 500mcg and shorten the cycle to 6 or even 5 weeks.

it seems that most that have given it a try are'nt that satified. some say they are when dose is upped. but then the whole concept of mgf/lr3 as being more cost effective as opposed to an hgh cycle is through the drain then. not that money is the first issue, as localized growth is, but its a factor none the less.

okay i would bump it up to 200mcg 100 in your outsweap and 100mcg in your teardrop that must do it.
My legs where noticeable thicker.

rodge, I feel your pain with the knee thing. christ, I've battled patellar tendinitis seems like my whole lifting life.:frown: I'm much like you, leg s lag, strong but not big enough. of course, are we ever big enough?? hell no. I wish you the best with your cycle . keep us posted please. I'm starting a similar cycle this December and including slin for the 1st time. hope it makes a difference.

well the first shot of MGF is in :)

the workout was brutal as i was really pushing it to the limits as i had the thought of shooting the MGF in mind.

what we did was:
squats 10 x 6 (150kg/330lbs)
leg press 4 x 20 (250kg/550lbs) i thought the squats were though,this one hurt like hell.
leg curl 5 x 8
standing calv raise 5 x 12

immediatly pwo i shot 14iu of slin IM, 4iu of hgh subq. and in each outer head of the quad i shot 50mcg lr3 igf-1 and 200mcg MGF.

took pwo shake consisting: 100gram dex and 10gram bcaa's

20minutes later 75 whey isolate wich i am downing at the moment :D

will stuff myself with a sh!tload of proteins before i head to bed.

If you really want your legs to grow I recommend spliting quads and hamstrings into 2 different days. That way you can focus at least an hour on both. For hamstrings I only see you listed leg curls. Try it and tell me what you think. It works well for me.

Quads
Squats
Leg press
Hack squats
Front squats
Lunges

Hamstrings & Calves (Pick 2 curls)
Modified leg press
Stiff leg deadlifts
Standing leg curls
Seated leg curls
Laying leg curls

cause thats the only hamstring machine we got :D we don't have the gyms you guys have, we just got the basics and thats it.

plus i wanna workout quads twice a week as those are the ones i try to bring up with the MGf. if that works then i will def do another cycle after my show for the rest of the lagging parts i have( everything except back :( )

one a side note.

atleast the MGf seems to cause some swelling in the shooted area. must be swelling as i can't imagine that after one single shot they allready grow.
