    Shoulder Injury

I recently strained my shoulder and I laid off from the gym for about 2 weeks. I am just doing legs and bi's for now, until it feels better. I can't flex my right trap muscle completely, is this normal with a strain?

Was it diagnosed by a dr. or do you just think its a strain? Also what were you doing when the injury occurred.

    Oh, yeah I don't know if it's a strain or not, i'm guessing. I haven't gone to the doc. I was grappling/training.

what types of movements make it feel better and what types of movements make it feel worse? is the pain a burning or dull achy type and does it hurt when somebody else moves your arm around for you (passive motion)?

I can move it up and down (press motion) and around, so I know my rotator cuff is fine. It's a little sharp pain that I feel when I reach back, like if I were doing rows for back. It's going away though, I can reach farther back everyday, but this trap thing has got me trippin' out...

I would go see an ortho doctor and get an MRI. That way the ortho doctor can tell you what's wrong with you and can treat you. The sooner you get that done, the better. Best of luck to you, I know what you're going through.
