I read about this product Melanotan II. Its a pill you take and your skin will tan. Its a non streaking all over tan. Has anyone used it? and i have a few questions about it;

Im anal about my tatts, when ever i go out in the sunner i cover my tatts in lvl 50 sunblock, the rest of my body lvl 8. Will this chem effect my ink at all?

Is it safe? Im not looking for safe as a suger pill, but i dont want to get liver damage, hole in my spleen, or god knows what else that could be really really damaging to my health.

Its safe to assume skin cancer is not an issue with this product, but how about skin coluring, once you stop staking it will it leave the skn splotchy, or stain the skin so later your snow white with deep marks like large freckles?

Any info would be appreciated.

It is an injectable like insulin ... It is not usda approved so I wouldnt assume skin cancer would not be an issue... though I dont think it is and have used it myself. It may leave freckles or lovespots if you will... I have two small ones on my face that I never had before... then noticed they were also on my arms, chest and legs... not bad... not really noticable but they are there. It does not stain the skin and I noticed no splotches.

How long after discontinuing use is the tan expected to last? I have been considering this product as I have natural red hair and natural taning is almost imposible. I see that one of our sponsers carries it

Earlier today i was looking up info on the net, i found out that there is one unpleasant side to taking it. if you have moles or freckles they will darken, and if you didnt then once you stop you will get them. I found a few pics that im sure were worst case senario but freaked me out. i have such smooth soft skin :P

Also when you get it it is a powder you have to mix, store in the fridge/freezer and it has a shelf life of 7 days once mixed.

Still weighing the good and bad... thinking ill stick to the fake and bake for a bit till im fully informed.
