Neck and Trapazoids so tight they hurt?

For about the last week now my traps and neck are getting so tight they are friggin killing me? I never work them out, and recently since starting my last cycle they are growing more than any other muscle. My wife is rubbing and massaging them every night for some minor relief, I also have been taking my prescribed flexeril(muscle relaxer 10mg) more often to no avail?I have been doing a lot of over head welding lately. Does any one have any suggestions on how I can get some relief....sex is not even curing it..lol. They do feel k in the morning when I wake though.

I have also been trying to stretch them frequently during the day.

Sometimes i catch myself really straining my neck when lifting heavy and wind up really soar and tight in the neck the next day. Usually stretching and some lightweight shrugs the next day help with the tension.

Thats my biggest problem too! Yeah I'm not "big" lol but I've had neck problems for the past couple weeks. Took flexeril and even Vicodin to help with pain. It got so tight and gave me the worse headache. I ended up going to the ER because of it. I also went to the chiropractor and he said I had pulled the muscle in my neck. I've noticed when I'm doing any upper body lifting I have been looking down or to the side some. I would bet you may be doing the same, if u start paying attention to your form, it could possibly help. It's helped me some. Just a suggestion.
