Leg injury
Ok I will try this again. Last time it times out and I lost it all
Back in 2006 I had leg injury at work. Dropped 50 lb wooden skin just below the left knee Instant swollen en. Was offered no first aid at work and had to drive myself to hospital. xray showed no break or fracture. I had an instant hematomama.
I was scheduled to be off work 2 weeks later to have scope on the right knee Osteoarthritis they were going to see how cartridge in the knee was and fix what needed fixing. Well I had to see this doctor to make sure he could still do surgery, due to the left injury. He said yes and that he would drain the hematoma at the same time.I have had nothing but problem with my leg since. I am on WSIB. they recently sent me to school for retraining. While their doctors say I am not employable They were told in 2010 not to send me back to phyisotherpy and they did. They screwed my back hips pelvic area during treating left leg injury. WSIB will admit to it was injured there at Physio.

Ouch!
So what are your plans?
-
Well I have no choice, WSIB dictates. I have put appeals in. Not sure where that gets me.. If I can get them to see my body was injured in physiotherapy it would be good. I have reports from the therapy saying they had to stop to give me acupuncture, due to pain by bing pushed in the exercise program they gave me.. Either way I have to complete my schooling or, they ct me off. I just mad pain med review and they took me off zytram and put me on 6 mg morphine.

I've recently began experimenting with TB500 and kept a log of my activity as well. It is not terribly expensive either. You may want to consider it?
http://forums.steroid.com/showthread...n-s-TB-500-log...........
some are beginning to call it the healing peptide.

Thank you I will have a look.

I just ordered 60mg of TB500. My kid's shoulder is real sore, so hopefully i can fix that up. much better than the cream (anti inflamitory) he gave him for it.

Cream for inflamation, never heard of it. I was just told by my doctor he is sending me to the pain clinic, for nerve block shots. Do you know about these?

I had to check and see what the name of the creme is my son uses. it is Voltaren Gel:
"is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). The 1% skin gel is used to treat osteoarthritis of the hands or knees. The 3% skin gel is used to treat actinic keratosis."
he has the 1%.
No, i've never heard of the nerve shot blocks. is that anything to do with the spinal chord?
-
Ok yeah I have that here. Works for awhile. Yes its needles in my neck mid and lower back to freese the spine where the pain is. Nerve block injection.

Cindy. If you have actual inflammation the docs should be focusing on that. The Beta block will only stop the brain from receiving the pain signals. Whatever damage is causing the inflammation will continue till you cause irreversible damage. Are you taking any inflammatories?

Here lately, i've been recommending the TB like i mentioned before. I have no clue if it would help you. I know it has helped me and a few other members. It would be interesting, if you do decide to try it, if you were to keep a log just as i have. My kid doesnn't know it yet, but i ordered enough for him. His shoulder has reallly been bothering him.
Ultimately, I'd like to see of the people that do end up taking it, I'd like to see their logs so we can expand our data set, and assess for ourselves just how good this stuff is. The peptide is relatively new, and really there is no other data out there besides what we record.

I will see what happpens here, if nothing I will go your route .

Well I finally got in the Pain Management Clinic. 14 needles later, I feel great. Sure hope it last awhile. Had needles in the back of the head , neck, shoulders and lower back. He said after 6 to 7 treatments we will know if its really working for me. Still have the injured legs pain and hips. But to have that range movement was worth it.

Is this anything like accupuncture?
-
no they injected some type of steroid to try and block the nerve from feeling pain. Its like wires caring messages to the brain. Its like injecting anesthetic freeing into or around the nerve and spine temporary numbness and to stop feeling pain.

Cindylou,
If those injections were corticosteroids be very careful. They will indeed lessen the pain, this is done by reducing inflamation of the tissues affected. The trouble is that by not feeling the pain anymore this can lead to overuse and reinjury without knowing it. Also mostly over time with repeated treatments the cortizone causes problems to the affected areas. Thinning of cartiledge, weakening of tendons, and joint capsule problems due to crystalized medication in the joint are all potential problems of long term usage.
Food for thought,
FFM
