interesting read. it's in it's infant stages, however there appears to be some light further on down the road.

doesn't really say much that we already didn't know.
but....
many getting knee replacements are elderly, and that age group typically experiences muscle atrophy anyways. the testosterone would be beneficial pre operation just to redevelop muscle tissue, then continue post op to aid in muscular strength recovery.
however, knee replacement no longer requres cutting muscle tissue as it once did. Knee replacement usually requires two or three days hospitalization. they do not release you until you can walk. the technology is very good, and within a few weeks, you are almost pain free. I've talked tto several older gentlemen that support the claim I just made.
