Fit Chick Intro
Hi all, I've been struggling with my diet for a while now. I managed to drop 10kgs through exercise and I guess relative clean eating over a 7 month period.
Since winter I've really struggled with eating clean. Although I haven't put on any weight (apart from the 2kgs whilst on holidays, which I have already lost 1kg) I just can't seem to kick the sugar cravings of late...
Is it just mind over matter??? Surely not, I have no problem with the exercise part but I'm not going to be able to keep working out at this level.....
Currently weighing 67.4kgs at 165cm and my goal is to reach 60kgs and then reassess.
Any thoughts?

Hi Fit Chick
Ummmm, as far as sugary cravings go, I don't know how to deal with those since I don't really like sweet foods.
But what I think might help you a lot is to take an inventory on your diet. Like write down everything you eat on an average day including portion size, calories, grams of protein, fat, carbs and grams of sugar. It'll definitely help you reach your goals if you can quantify what you're doing. You'll find tons of help from a lot of knowledgeable people on here who can steer you in the right direction.

i too have an issue with sugar/sweat craving. i have found this place waldenfarms.com. i put there pancake syrup with my oatmeal and it is good on yams with a bot of cinnamon.
they also have many sauces and dressing all carb/calsugar free.

great job on your losses and those last few pounds are always the hardest! you could just need a few tweaks , such as the great advice u received from this post and mod to your workouts.
BTW...I luv carbs too. I use crystal light in my water just to push thru those harder days! : )

Welcome Fit Chick! I use XTend from Scivation in my water as well as 2 packets of that strawberry Crystal Light. I only get the sugar cravings if I have sugary stuff but like they say, stay away from sugar and "bad stuff" for 21 days and you'll no longer crave it. I did that and I didn't really have a desire for the sugary stuff. Anytime I feel for something sweet, I have a piece of fruit.

How i defeat sugar cravings.... drink lots of unsweet tea and eat lots of fresh fruit! Maybe a 1/4 cup of cereal with fat free milk. Oh yeah... Welcome

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm not craving sugar in tea etc, it's more of a junk food craving, you know like cake and lollies... I think I'll have to go back to where I started by diarising everything I consume.
I've done some research and cannot find a stockist of crystal light in Australia.
