I like twice a week more. But I cut down on the volume of each workout so the ammount of work done on a muscle is the same as when I did a once a week routine. The volume is just split upp now. For a period I hit my lats 3 times a week and grew like a weed from that. But only one lat exercise each workout.

3 times in 2 weeks, so i guess that makes it 1.5, i guess i don't vote fore either

BTW, volume and frequency always play off of each other, so its a tough question to answer directly. If you have alot of volume, u will have low frequency and vice versa.

i like to hit each body part once a week, I was working 2x a week and see a lot more results when i work each one really hard 1x a week instead. this way my focus group gets worked out really well and the secondary muscles get a good workout too. for example, on chest day i do the decline bench, but shoulders are worked well too so i can work really hard and push myself. if i were to work my chest 2x a week instead then my shoulders would be fatigued on shoulder day that i wouldn't be able to push as hard... plus i think the body needs to be able to rest and repair a little bit too. just my 2cents though.

I hit each body part once a week. I used to do 2x but i've gotten much better resluts from working out less often and with more intensity.

Everytime I've tried hitting muscles 2x a week, I'm pretty much worn out after 3 or 4 weeks.

When I first started working out I would hit every muscle group 2x/week and I got good results, on the flip side I think anyone that starts lifting gets good results no matter what they do. Now I train each muscle only 1x per week.the strength goes up but the size stays the same.

I just started DC training...you hit everything 2x in 8 days. So far, I love it. The extreme stretching...the balls out one set to complete failure...the total workout. I am too early into it to be seeing results, but dear God I feel them! So, like Sabou...I don't get to vote.

I agree with everyone. Better results with 1 day IMO

Big muscle groups once a week (chest, quads, etc.), the denser ones I do 2-3x a week (abs, calves). Plus I get a good tri/delt workout when I do chest, then I do tri's and shoulders a few days later when I do my bi's. It's been workin well for me.
