A freind of mine showed me these last weekend. What you do is go to an incline bench and use the platform on the back for your foot to push off of. You do them one leg at a time, holding a dumbbell in the hand thats on the same side as the calve your doing(I used a 40lb.) and grab the olympic bar with your other hand for support. Go all the way down and then all the way up and hold it for a 2 count to get a good squeeze at the top of the movement. For the longest time I've always worked both my calves at the same time during a set, alternating them like this and working them one at a time really felt like it hit them hard. I know a 40lb dumbbell doesnt seem like alot, but do them and you'll see what I mean, totally killer exercise. And my freind's calves used to be one of his weaker bodyparts, I hadnt seen him in a few months and his calves looked like somebody put implants in them, ****ing huge and vascular!!! Pisses me off, b/ my calves used to be the one part on me that beat his.
