I plan on cutting from 185 of about 14%bodyfat 34inch waist to about 170 32 inch waist by May, while doing 2 cycles of an ECA or Y stack. I currently eat ok with minor cheating here and there. I lift 4 to 5 days a week. I was currently confused on what I wanted to do with my body either diet or bulk or keep stable. But now I've decided to reduce my bodyfat and then put on lean muscle when I achieve my goal of lower BF. BTW, I also try to do some form of cardio whether its running or basketball 5 days a week.

So my question is how should I be lifting and eating during this cutting phase of ECY

well you should train hard just like any other time...do you have a diet?...You can always look at the cutting sticky in the diet forum...

You probably wont lose much if your diet isnt correct...

General Training while cutting and on ECA

Ok its about 2 months till I return home from college, and my body kinda didnt go the way I originally wanted it to. All my muscle remained intact, my lifting has went up in weight or stayed the primarily the same. One thing though, my body weight went up I came to school in september weighing around 172, and I currently weigh around 185-190, which I dont like. Everyone says im filling out nicely, but I want to get much tighter and cut and bring my body weigh down to about 170. My diet is pretty good considering the food the school offers. I put my little amount of carbs I eat int he beginning of the day (oatmeak) followed by the little bt of carbs in a turkey sandwhich around 1, and then done for the rest of the day.

My question is, while im on this ECA stack and eating mostly protein, and hopefully less calories, how should my training and running regiment be?

well diet is the major aspect of cutting up, so start by posting that and getting that critiqued. i understand u may have to eat in school, but there are good suggestions on here about how to add a little extra and how to take out the unneeded things. so still post your diet and stay open for critiques. diet will ultimately be the change you want to see in your weight...

If you want to retain your lean mass and drop only bodyfat that you gained to appear tighter/cut, you will want to avoid a "running" plan.

Cardio, yes, but I would not run in an effort to strip pure bodyfat and induce lipolysis.

Ok, thank you, I wont run past 30 minutes on cardio days, mostly sprinting. But as for lifting while on my ECA how should it be?
