    is this an imbalance??

been working out for 1.5 years and unlike most people i started out on the right foot - i worked out the whole body - i didnt even miss out of squats or deadlifts or bench and i followed a strict three day schedule for most of the 1st year.

ANyway currently my lifts are as follows
(when i started by bench was 10 x 75 lbs on the barbell)
    flat bench 4 x 70 lb dumbbels
(when i first started deadlifting and squatting they were both 115 lbs as i learnt hte form and got stronger)
    deadlift 4 x 275 lbs

    squat 5 x 250 lbs (parallel)

i understand that the bench does not go up as fast as the deadlift or the squat, but is this fine? Is it imbalanced? How would i go about correcting it?

Well what is your actual bench press using the olympic bar not dumbells?

It might be an imbalance.. or then again it might be your natural genetic predisposition.

For example... My Bench has been stuck around the same amount for the past 3 or so years. I've made gains.. but nothing exotic like i have on squats and deads.. namely deads. My chest is a genetic weakpoint. This is compounded by my being a naturally strong puller (and a comparatively weak pusher).

You noted that you've been taking a well-rounded approach to training.. so i wouldn't really be concerned about it.

    Especially at the 1.5-year mark.

An inbalance (given your balanced approach to training) isn't likely.

(besides you're SUPPOSED to lift heavier on deads and squats anyway )
