    Hammer curls

I've heard hammer curls are good for size so I'm gonna try them out, but theres 2 techniques I've found: regular hammer curls and cross-body hammer curls. Any opinions which is more effective?

I like to do them sitting down as well so it takes the swing out less chance of cheating then also do them regular if I turn at all its slightly outward not cross body

Crossing over would place more stress on the elbow joint and less on the muscle. Working the brachia is very important for powerlifters (bench press) so I do them every time I train bis

i dont have much experience but i do them on an incline seat and it seems to help with the less swinging and cheating.

the incline method mentioned by others is the most effective way to hit the brachialis (outer part of the bicep). just let the arms hang straight to the floor to start and as you curl up, make sure to just curl up the forearms and keep the upper arms perpendicular to the floor. this is the method that has been found to be most effective for focusing on this bodypart.

of course variety is good too, but this one i do more often than others.

I was wondering, how much you guys can do cross body hammers with. The guys at my gym are all bums, they usually make me feel stronger than I am. I do many hammer curls because I have had incredible gains on the bench (because hammers work the brachilis)

I am spooked of hammer curls as of late lol. The past two times I have done them in my right forearm on the underside it feels like something is popping out of place, feels kinda like a pop rip pain. Anyone know what that would be???
