    Q on form...

Hey. I've always went for form over just pure weight... But this other guy at my gym (huge bro) lifts with no form... I've seen this guy do hip toss's with barbell curls... cheat on a few different shoulder exercises... can't really think of them all... But anyways... He said I shouldn't worry about form and should go for heavy weight... I know every1 will prob disagree with him... But I take a look at this guy and I'm wondering if maby I should take his advice and try lifting like that for a couple months to see if I notice a difference...

I had a guy like that at my gym - Found out after I got to know him that he had three cycles of DECA/Test within a year.

Made me say to myself :
"I'll stick to the good form and know I'm building a stronger base"

    Without the cycles

Form is much more important, but a little cheating is good if you don't have a training partner and want to force out a few more reps to push and shock your muscles. Constantly breaking form will only lead to an increased chance of injury, which will take you out of the gym. No training, no growing, except perhaps your waistline. If you don't have a training partner, just ask someone for a spot now and then and perhaps you'll gain a friend to help you break those barriers we all encounter.

For longevity you should worry about proper form with progressive overloads. Sometimes a little cheating or some forced reps can help you overcome mental barriers to new poundages - but don't over do it...
