Thinking of doing cardio around 2:00am from a dead sleep

Jay Cutler used to do this to prepare for the Arnold Classic, I'm contemplating it myself. I have 7 wks to the show, actually 6 because I really dont count the last week because I stop training and start the carb up process. I got on the scale tonight and I'm 222lbs w/ clothes on. I think I'm within shooting range for the light heavies but it's not going to come easy. I've started about 30mcg/day of T-3(along w/ my cycle) and it seems to be working very well as I've dropped about 3 lbs since last weekend. So now I think I'll sleep for 4 hrs, wake up and hit cardio out of a dead sleep(I have a treadmill here), then go back to bed for another 3 or 4hrs, then another session PWO the next day. So probably around 1 hr and 40 min-2 hrs of cardio/day. I cant do much cardio every 3rd day because of my 24 hr work shift(fire dept.) but I really think that this will help the rest of the weight fall off. I'm thinking if I can just come in at 198 lbs then I'll have a good shot at the overall.

man that will take some dedication. I would be worried that it would interupt my sleep pattern too much which is obviously very important for recovery. Good luck if you try it though. Look forward to seeing the results.

I wouldn't even attempt it for this very reason.

nah, my body is hardly recovering at this point now anyways. I've held onto as much as I could as far as mass, and now it's time to bring the finishing touches and get super shredded

just because cutler doesit doesnt necessarily meanits a good idea for you, my recomendation is try it and see how it feels to you, if you feel it works for you, than by all means go to town, only way to find out is trial and error
