I usually do my cardio in the morning on an empty stomach. Some times i can't because of my job. My question is how many hours after eating should i do cardio, and will this still burn fat or just to food I ate.
Thx

the 2nd best time to do cardio is immediantly after your workout before your PWO shake. you also dont need to do cardio for as long if it is PWO because your workout has already burned up your glycogen. with your glycogen gone you should start burning fat almost immediantly.
Let me add to that:
If you can't do cardio PWO and in the morning, make sure its atleast 3-4 hrs after your last meal...its NOT the most ideal..but better than not doing it at all, esp if u r cutting
cheers
really are u sure?Originally Posted by zodiac666

The rule of thumb is 3-4hrs. And also plan on adding to your training time (cardio) . In my experience I have to double what I would normally do in the morning.
ahhh...cardio? Complete waste of time in my humble opinion. The ticket is high intensity workouts coupled with daily strolls around the block...and of course a sound eating plan. Now that would be a bulletproof, fat-loss program that would get sick results.

I can't remember what post it was, haven't been around in while. Swolecat said that slamming a shake then doing cardio is diminishing to both your work out and your cardio. Your body will burn your pwo shake as energy and not your fat. So, you don't get the nutrients after you work out and don't lose fat because your body is burning the shake.Originally Posted by zodiac666
My question was how long to wait after a meal so i can still burn some fat, and not just the food i ate.
Thx to all that replied

AM before a meal is best, if not able to, then atleast 3 hours after a meal.
