I lift weights, I don't sprint or jog.
15x20/40 or 12x30/60, or 5x90/90
all are fine.. mix em around if you want. I rarely jog in my active rest period.. its a walk.
Ever looked at spinervals? It is interval training on a bike. google.
Are you taking about HIT training or HIT for the Cardiovascular system?
If so please provide links and the benefits from doing this type of routine?
I think he is talking about HIIT, judging by his original post. But maybe I am wrong.
ahh, High Intensity Interval Training?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-in...erval_training
according to the aricle HIIT is better at burning fat than low intensity cardio. what do you guys think?![]()
yeah High Intensity Interval Training. Confusing because there is another post about HIT just above/below this thread.....
Anyway, if you struggle to run because of weight/injury/hate running, then cycling HIIT is good. Spinverals is a series of dvds made by an endurance athlete coach and he does HIIT (hence the name spinervals). Some of the dvds are hard hard hard (depending on how hard you push yourself of course).

btw, GREAT article i**mfkr!
How do you guys feel about this article on HIIT?
4-15 minutes sounds a little fishy to me.http://www.musclemedia.com/training/hiit.asp#hiit
I have been doing HIIT for awhile. Ellyptical
5 minute moderate warm up. 1 minute sprint then 1 minute rest. total of 6 sprints. Ends at 17 minutes and then I finish off moderately for 5 minutes and then cool down, total 27 minutes. Try it, I was skeptical, its gnarly.
How much BF have you lost? How much muscle have you lost?Originally Posted by hillshooter

All in all, I have lost an estimated 90 pounds of fat and gained 20-30 in muscle. Thats in 18 months.
THis is why i am a huge fan of tae bo and bootcamp this is the king of fat burning.
i dont like walking let alone running, LOL! but hey, if this works for you, keep it up!
