I do 7 or 8 sets
so you would recommed that I do more then huh my calves are good already but I can always have improvements you know
I have stubborn calves 8+ for me...
3 sets of seated calf raises
3 sets of standing calf
then they are burning and cramping like hell!!
Somewhere in the neighborhood of 9 to 12 sets, until they are buning and cramping
It all depends, do you find that what you do is enough? The amount of weight is a factor too, you only asked how many sets do we do not if we go extremely heavy or light with high reps. You say you do 6 supersets which depending on the intensity may already be "more" than I do.Originally Posted by gottibme
I do six sets, 25 reps, two different excercises, on fri, sun, tue. Calves need high reps to grow, I never went over 12 reps before. About A year ago I was boxing for a while and noticed my caves were growing better then they ever have from all the skipping rope. All that repetitious high rep shit will make them grow. Once in a while ill do like 30-40 reps. At the bottom of the rep dont worry about going down too low that doesnt matter but at the top of the rep make sure you go as high as you can until it pinches and then hold it there for 2 seconds on each rep.
